What we’ll ask for: your name, postcode, email, phone number, and a few details about your property. We don’t ask for bank details, account numbers, or anything financial.

We review your details

We personally look at every enquiry that comes in. No bots, no automated systems. We work out which of our vetted Hampshire installers are the best fit for your specific home and situation.

What we won’t do: blast your details out to twenty random companies. You’ll only hear from installers we’ve personally picked for you — usually two or three.

Installers get in touch

The installers we’ve matched you with will reach out directly to put together a quote for your home. Some may want to do a quick site survey first to give you an accurate price — others can quote based on photos and your roof measurements.

What to expect: a friendly conversation, an honest quote tailored to your home, and a clear breakdown so you know exactly what you’d be paying for.

When you’re ready

Install happens

From here, you’ll deal directly with the installer you’ve chosen — they’ll handle the install itself. We’re not involved in that part, but we will check in afterwards to make sure you’re happy with how it went.

Your data stays yours.

We’re registered with the ICO (the UK’s data regulator) and we take privacy seriously. Here’s what that actually means in practice:

We only share your details with the installers we match you with. Never anyone else — not now, not later.
We’re not a lead farm. Your details only go to the installers we’ve matched you with — never auctioned off to the highest bidder.
You can ask us to delete your details at any time. Just email enquire@ecocompare.co.uk and we’ll wipe everything.
We only use what you share to help you get solar quotes. Nothing else. No newsletters, no marketing emails, no “related offers”.

Is it really free?

Yes — completely. It costs you nothing to use EcoCompare. We’re paid by the installers we match you with — they cover the cost of being introduced to genuine, pre-qualified homeowners. You never pay a penny. No catch, no hidden fees, no upsell.

What if I’m not sure I actually want solar yet?

That’s totally fine. Getting a few quotes gives you something real to think about — actual numbers for your home rather than guesswork. You’re under no obligation to go ahead, and you can change your mind at any stage.

How many quotes will I get?

Usually two or three. Enough to compare properly, not so many that you’re swamped with calls. We’d rather match you with a handful of really good installers than a dozen mediocre ones.

What if a quote feels off?

Drop us a line at enquire@ecocompare.co.uk and we’ll look at it with you. If something looks dodgy or overpriced, we’d rather call it out than let you make a bad decision. That’s genuinely why we exist.
