About EcoCompare

We started EcoCompare because
solar shouldn’t be this hard.

We’re Rishi and Adam — both born and raised in Hampshire — and we built this service to do solar comparison the way we’d want it done for our own families.

Our story

How we got here

We grew up in Hampshire watching the people closest to us struggle with rising energy bills. Cost of living kept climbing, electricity prices went through the roof, and at the same time we kept seeing more and more solar panels appearing on roofs around the area — the tech was finally good enough, and prices low enough, for solar to genuinely make sense.

But when we looked at how people were actually getting quotes locally, it was a mess. National comparison sites felt clunky and impersonal — just lead farms harvesting details to sell on. When we spoke to homeowners around Hampshire, the same things came back every time — feeling overwhelmed, hounded by cold calls within hours of any enquiry, and lost in a process nobody had properly explained.

We knew there had to be a better way — for Hampshire homeowners first, and for Hampshire businesses looking at commercial solar too.

So we built one.

The people behind it

Meet the team

Rishi

Co-founder · Technical Director

Hampshire born and bred. Spent time designing and wiring in the controls and automation industry, and most recently worked as a solar technician on industrial-scale solar farms. He’s seen what good solar installs look like from the inside, and that’s how he picks the installers we work with. He’s also the technical brain behind everything you see here — the entire site is designed and hand-coded by him from the ground up.

Adam

Co-founder · Commercial Director

Adam grew up in Hampshire and spent four years in estate agency — which is where he learned exactly how sales conversations should, and shouldn’t, go. He leads our installer relationships and is the person you’d actually speak to if something didn’t feel right. Alongside Rishi, he’s building out the design and adverts that put EcoCompare in front of the right people. He co-founded this company because he wanted to be on the right side of an industry that too often leaves homeowners confused and unsure where to start.

Every installer we work with has been vetted. If we wouldn’t put them on our own roofs, we won’t put them on yours.
